TED HUNT'S WEBSITE

Good stories and Ben Hogan's Secret Finally explained.

A keen golfer with degrees in Kinesiology and a PhD in history, Ted has enjoyed exploring the mysteries of the golf swing even while frustrated by the suspicion that golf instructors were withholding -- or did not understand -- vital information about striking the ball like the touring professionals. Determined to track down 'Ben Hogan's Secret' Ted interviewed dozens of PGA Tour players including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Moe Norman, Stan Leonard, Ted Kroll, Cory Pavin and George Knudson as well as former caddies and close friends of "the greatest ball-striker in golf."

BEN HOGAN'S MAGICAL DEVICE

Ben Hogan hit the ball so purely and so consistently, it was believed that he had a secret, and on August 8, 1955, he was persuaded to explain his four year trial and error discovery to Life Magazine -- regrettably, misused terminology created havoc. Ted's book now explains Hogan’s hidden techniques in understandable anatomical terms and demonstrates how they are put into use.

"Thanks for inviting me on one more trip down Hogan's Alley. You’ve done a splendid job. Your analysis of his swing is excellent. A student of the game can now, more quickly, put the real ‘secret’ to work as a unit with the Magical Device – I love it."
   - Alvie Thompson, former PGA Tour player and Masters’ competitor.

“Ben Hogan was the best driver of the ball there ever was.” - Tiger Woods.

"This book will help 95% of all golfers. That small percentage remaining who are touring pros or those aspiring to be, use these techniques but keep quiet about them. Like Hogan did -- they protect their secrets." - John Russell, BC Amateur Champion.

BEN HOGAN'S SHORT GAME SIMPLIFIED

How can an amateur golfer strike the ball properly without the practice regime of a professional?

This book starts you off with short putts and chips, introducing Hogan's techniques in manageable bites before moving you along -- staircase effect -- with long running chips, spinning lobs, half-shots, punch shots, bunkers, and finally to full shots. A must-read book for every serious golfer's reference library.

"So many things about Hogan were special. He was the best shot-maker I ever saw.” - Jack Nicklaus.

"As with all good books the end comes too soon!" - CJ Wilson, CPGA instructor.

BEN HOGAN’S TIPS FOR WEEKEND GOLFERS

Golf is a difficult game and Ben Hogan’s golf swing is as complex as a spider’s web, so for this book, I have attempted to distill Hogan’s system usefully, to a selection of key and valuable tips for the weekend golfer which can be useful -- quickly.

My first book -- ‘Ben Hogan’s Magical Device and the Secret Within’ -- was written for top competitors. Tiger Woods, Mike Weir and Michelle Wie have copies. However, I found that the average weekend golfer does not have the time to devote to a detailed study of the golf swing, nor the time to practice it. Family and job comes first.

This new book, ‘Hogan’s Tips for the Weekend Golfer’ presents the necessary pillars of the golf swing so that the average golfer can catch it quickly, study the photos, and after a few practice swings, apply it right away.

"I really enjoyed your book. I have seen over the years the many middle-class young men that fell in love with the dream of being a good golfer, but somehow life got in the way, a wife and kid, a mortgage, the practice schedule scales down and as they reach 40 are unable to let go."

Tim Mincarelli, USMC. Huntington Beach, CA

There are eighteen important Tips discussed in this book, in order to consolidate your golf swing so that reliable repetition is produced. These important structures are explained through photos in a series. Drills are also presented -- and details if needed.

Throughout the book, modern players demonstrate their use of Ben Hogan’s power moves. The final Tip is a full explanation of the long sought-after “Hogan’s Secret” -- which is the hidden way he moved his left hand into impact with the ball -- the right hand -- no matter what you may have heard -- holds its address angle throughout the entire swing. Hogan sent strangers down the wrong road when he said, “I wish I had two right hands to hit the ball.” The power for hitting the ball came from his torso to which the “magical device” was connected -- not the hands. The data for these explanations came from three golf champions who were disciples of Mr. Hogan: Stan Leonard, George Knudson, and Moe Norman.

"Many writers, teachers and players have spent countless hours trying to decipher Ben Hogan's swing secret. I believe Dr. Hunt has come the closest. I applaud his efforts to disseminate it to all of us for we will surely be better golfers if we put this into practice."

Dave Snyder, PGA professional. Birmingham, Alabama

You will find another dozen or more Quick Tips which focus on playing strategy. For example: if under trees with two stroke trouble‘ on the left, there is a description of a sure-shot that will never go left on you.

The putting section alone will save you several shots per round and give you a special confidence on six footers. I hope you enjoy these changes.

IN THE COMPANY OF HEROES

A young woman is caught between duty and destiny during the war to end all wars:
The greatest adventure of the 20th Century.

The first woman invited to serve on the Czar's Treasury Board is put in charge as Lenin's revolution sweeps Europe. She is ordered to hide "The wealth of a 1,000 years" but is not told how. Three true stories suppressed by American and Russian governments to be hidden in the rubble of World War I are brought to light following twenty-four years of research.

  • HOW THE FIRST WOMAN ACTUARY INVITED TO SERVE THE CZAR’S TREASURY HID THE WEALTH OF RUSSIA FROM LENIN AND THE BOLSHEVIKS.

  • HOW A LANGUAGE STUDENT FROM STANFORD UNIVERSITY LED A CLANDESTINE INVASION INTO RUSSIA IN AN ATTEMPT TO THWART BOLSHEVISM.

  • HOW A STUDENT FROM CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE LED AN ELITE REGIMENT OF CONSCRIPTED ATHLETES TO MUTINY AGAINST AUSTRIA AND SIDE WITH RUSSIA.

“One Hell of a story”.
   - Sir Sean Connery, Actor.

“The characters are believable, and God knows the events covered are of terrific historical importance. The dialogue rings true, and I found that the plotting, with its swings of triumph and disaster, kept me turning the pages.”
   - Douglas Gibson, Former President, McClelland & Stewart Publishing.

“This is Europe's secret story.”
   - Vaclav Havel, Former President of the Czech Republic.

“Now you know what really happened.”
   - Alexander Kerensky.
Last prime minister of Monarchical Russia.

“It is impossible to read 'In the Company of Heroes' without 'Dr. Zhivago' coming to mind”. As with Boris Pasternak's novel, or the classic movie from the 1960's, Hunt's book is also a grand and sweeping tale of war, revolution, love, ambition and betrayal plead out from the luxury of St. Petersburg to the great steppes and snowy wastes of Imperial Russia. Hunt's book is no mere clone of the better-known tale; It is based on two true, fascinating, romantic and exciting stories. An enjoyable read.”
